The Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy on Thursday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, after the Madras high court admitted petition on Ram Sethu.
Dr Subramanian Swamy said he apprised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of the Madras high court admitting two writ petitions filed by him. One writ petition related to challenging the canal alignment chosen by the UPA government in the Sethusamudram Ship Channel Project (SSCP) and the other demanding that the Union culture ministry should declare Ram Sethu as an ancient monument.
Thiruvananthapuram, May 18: BJP president Rajnath Singh demanded on Friday that the work on the Sethusamudram Project should be put on hold until the scientific community clears it.
